Future champions sold at the Gold Muzzle Auction

A crowd of in excess of 400 people was in attendance at the Richmond Race Club today for the inaugural Ladbrokes Gold Muzzle Puppy Auction with more than 100 top quality pups being offered for sale.
When the last lot had gone over the rostrum, 103 pups were either sold or purchased back by their Nominators for a total in excess of $600,000, with an average price of just over $5,900 per lot.
As expected, the Sales Toppers were the three siblings by Fernando Bale out of Chica Destacada, which realised prices of $32,000, $31,000 and $30,000 respectively, and they were all bought back by their owners Peter McDermot and Denis Donaghue after an underbidder was unsuccessful at prices of $30,000 and $29,000.
6 of the Top 10 dogs that brought the highest prices at the Auction were actual Sales, proving that quality Pups will always attract buyers at the right prices.
