Who supplies the breeding information?
The breeding information is supplied by the vendor and is verified by Gold Muzzle Auctions prior to the auction. Once that has happened, the pups will be placed in lot order and entered into the catalogue.
The highest bidder becomes the purchaser. An Auction official will immediately contact the purchaser to have a Sales docket signed confirming the Sale price and Lot number of the greyhound and the Purchasers' details.
Yes - You must complete the Buyers Registration Application after which you will receive your Bidders Number. To complete the Buyers Registration form you must have relevant identification (e.g. Drivers Licence, GRNSW licence, Passport) You can download the Buyer Registration Application form by clicking here. You can register now or you can register on Auction day from 9.00am.
Once the payment process is complete, you will need to produce a copy of the receipt showing the Buyer Registration Number; Lot Number; and the Price paid to the Kennel block before you can take custody of the greyhound.
Gold Muzzle Auctions (GMA) takes all care in compiling the information provided via-the catalogue and at the Auction, however, the final responsibility rests with the prospective purchaser to verify the details.
We strongly recommend you undertake your own research in relation to the information provided in the catalogue and you should also be aware of the Rules and responsibilities from the peak bodies, Greyhound Racing NSW and GWIC, in relation to greyhound ownership.
What if my Pups aren't ear-branded or micro-chipped when I nominate?
Dont panic, these details can be forwarded to Gold Muzzle Auctions when this has occured but it must be done prior to before May 20, 2019
If I'm a Vendor/Nominator do I get sent a catalogue?
All nominators receive a catalogue as well as any further information they need for Auction day.
What fees am I charged to sell my pup at the 2019 Gold Muzzle Auction?
Vendors are charged 11% of the final sale price of the greyhound - e.g. if the pup is sold for $5,000, the Vendor will receive $4,450.
Is there a minimum starting bid for a pup I nominate?
All pups nominated for the auction will have a $2,000 starting bid on behalf of the nominator. If a Vendor buys their own greyhound back, they will be charged 11% of the Sale Price with a minimum of $220 to be paid.
Who looks after my Pup on Auction day?
On the morning of the Auction, all greyhounds are to be cared for by a representative of the Nominator until sold.
Do I need to have Registration Papers for my pup?
Yes - All greyhounds presented for sale at the Auction must have their CURRENT REGISTRATION PAPERS. These papers must be signed in the appropriate place when the greyhound is sold.
Do I need to register as a Buyer if I am a Nominator/Vendor?

Who will handle the greyhound when it is to be auctioned?
You will handle the Pup yourself or you may have a registered person handle the Pup on the podium - the Auctioneers will introduce the greyhound before giving a brief overview of its breeding before the bidding commences.
Will any officials from GRNSW and GWIC be present at the Auction.
Yes - Representatives of GRNSW and GWIC will be on-site at the Auction for you to discuss any relevant matters relating to the Auction.
